* If TankGuard fails to surface a properly-configured compliance deadline at least 30 days in advance, we’ll credit up to three months of subscription fees as product credit. Not conditioned on any regulatory or enforcement outcome. Full carve-outs in the Terms of Service.
I spent a year reading every underground storage tank regulation I could find — federal 40 CFR Part 280 cover to cover, then the corresponding chapter in each of the fifty state codes, then the implementing agency guidance documents, then the inspection checklists. What started as research for a different product turned into roughly 1,500 individually-coded compliance rules, each tagged with the tank equipment type it applies to, the cadence, and the specific statute citation.
I kept going because every operator I talked to — the ones running three gas stations in north Florida, the ones running twelve in east Texas — had the same story. Somebody handed them a paper checklist once, they lost it, and the next inspector showed up asking for a release-detection record they didn’t realize they were supposed to keep. TankGuard is what I wish those operators had on day one: every deadline in every jurisdiction, already scheduled against their tanks, surfaced 90 days before it’s due. Ship the knowledge, not a PDF.
